How Airbnb Can Make Your Next Vacation Rock

Summertime is a pretty big deal for our family because the school year is always so busy that we rarely get a chance to get away. Summer vacation is finally when the action starts in our household, so we really look forward to it. I usually try to plan a kid-friendly vacation at least once a year and this time I wanted something different. This summer I knew that I wanted to book a cabin on the beach so that my daughter and I could wake up on the beach every day during our vacation. We both have a love for the beach and being near the water, that it just seemed perfect for us.

At first, I wasn’t sure how to do this, where does one find cabins that are not only affordable but awesome as well? I didn’t just want to Google search it and hope for the best. Just the thought alone scared me. That was when a friend of mine suggested Airbnb, a website that has accommodations all over the world. It doesn’t matter if you are looking for a condo, house or cabin to rent, the site has everything and it’s one that you can trust.

If you haven’t experienced Airbnb yet, trust me, you are going to want to. I ended up finding a great cabin in Harmony Beach, Ontario and we spent a week there just enjoying the water and the sand in between our toes. It was heaven. Not only was the host basically the nicest human in the world but the cabin had everything that we needed to enjoy the area like canoeing, kayaking, and bonfire fun!

My 11-year-old daughter and I would wake up and go for a run on the beach and then end up in the water in no time. We would have lunch at the beachfront restaurant and then just luxuriate in the sun all day. We would finally make our way back to the cabin to BBQ and get ready for a bonfire in the evening. It was one of the best trips we have had. I would never have found this gorgeous cabin without the help of Airbnb and I intend on using it every time that I vacation outside of a resort. It was just that good.
